About this site

The Long Haul is an independent publication launched in January 2026 by Chris Stubenrauch, a space weather scientist who has been living with Long COVID since February 2024.

The site focuses on making Long COVID research easier to understand by providing clear, plain-language summaries of newly published scientific studies. All content is written for readers without formal medical or biology training, with the goal of improving access to information, not offering medical advice or treatment recommendations.

Everything on this site is free. There are no paid subscriptions, paywalls, or premium content.

If you choose to subscribe with your email, you’ll receive infrequent email updates when new research summaries are published. Subscribing simply helps distribute information, it does not unlock additional content.

Free, Full Access to Research Summaries

All research summaries are freely available to anyone. You can explore the complete archive of published summaries and read everything that’s been posted, as well as anything still to come. Subscribe to receive an email when new summaries are published. No algorithms, no feeds, and no spam, just occasional updates when there’s something new and relevant.
